The Rainbow

Well, settled down enough from the recent move that we have started taking some pictures. This is from a recent hike at Beaverdam Park. 

Elephant Seal Lookout

Two from a recent trip out to point reyes. Tried to make it to the lighthouse but it was so windy when we showed up, we just turned around and went to the elephant seal lookout. Molting season is upon us. Didn't get any Great shots of the seals but I like the below landscapes.

Shots were processed only with the Beta 2 version of lightroom. The ability to make local correction in lightroom is a great addition and I can't wait to see the finished version. If you haven't tried the Beta, give it a try!

96 Degrees in May!

Well, I am in the west and today was a hot one, with tomorrow being even hotter. We haven't hit record temperatures but close to it. Times like this make me wish it was a little cooler. This picture was taken a few months back in So. Cal. on a much cooler day than today.

Red Necked Phalarope

These little guys come out on our local hiking trail by where I live. Fun to watch, bobbing their heads back and forth. Shot with 20D 70-200 F/4.

Evening Light

Quick HDR done last night as the sun was setting giving off some incredible light.

Gobble Gobble

Saw these guys while driving into work the other day. What an aggressive animal for a bird. I guess they haven't figured out where in the food chain they are. While I was shooting them (With my camera of course!) a lady stopped and told me how they have knocked down the power lines to her house on two separate occasions. Theres a flock of 40 of them at her house, but on this day only a few had wondered up the road. Enjoy!

I watched one of these guys chase an SUV. I guess size really doesn't matter to them.
